What’s your reason for not buying an electric car? Studies have shown that people just don’t know much about them or the incentives that the government gives to encourage people to switch over. We know price is a big factor, people simply don’t want to pay more for a car when they can get the same thing in a gas version for cheaper. Issues with affordability aside, some may think it is a hassle to “charge” the battery every night, have limited range on where you’re traveling and the misconception that electric cars are “weak”.
When it all comes down to it, price is the biggest factor for potential customers. While electric cars are better for the environment and the Earth’s future, it is not enough to convince a buyer to spend the extra money. Until electric car technology becomes cheaper and require less maintenance than gas cars, it will be hard to convince people to buy them.
