I recently called Cyr Electric to have two electric heat thermostats repaired. I had self instances, but a wire cap had melted and that made me concerned.

I called in Thursday after a number of recommended electricians failed to call me back. The receptionist was very friendly and listened to my problem. I’m not electricity savvy and I appreciate not feeling like I knew nothing, even though I knew nothing. She was upfront and honest about the pricing, which is $79 an hour with a 2 hour minimum.

The gentleman (Lou) came out and was very thorough and explained what he was doing and what I was looking at. It was very helpful and he was very friendly. He also gave me a call 30 minutes before arrival, which was great in planning around my work lunch.

I definitely recommend them.

Darren and his crew did impeccable work on an upgrade to the underground service to my house, and the installation of a new 200 amp panel. He adapted quickly when my excavation contractor never appeared, renting a backhoe and digging the trench himself. He returned calls quickly, and his crew were meticulously tidy, leaving a panel that was easy to inspect.

He delivered the best work out of all the different tradesmen I have hired for repairs and upgrades to my home, in any capacity.

Cyr was able to send a technician the day I called about the loss of power to my new house. The repair was simple — reconnecting a broken cable — but timing was crucial, as I had movers scheduled to show up the next day. I was entirely content with the work and will probably have Cyr back to do a service upgrade.

Came at the appointed time and evaluated the job and performed the task. Explained what needed to be done and the cost. Answered questions I asked. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

Because of the need to comply with the latest electrical codes, the project also required some fairly extensive outside work to reroute the National Grid power lines, install a new 4-foot mast, and re-position the electric meter.. The whole job was completed professionally and competently in about six hours and the clean-up afterward couldn’t have been done any better.
